Teen Pregnancy - The Truth that is not on TV

From 2010 to double his teenage pregnancies each year. As teens are constantly bombarded with music, television programs and movies about sex, along with the idealized reality of teenage pregnancy in real life it seems, it's no wonder why this disease occurs. Behind the scenes of the life script is the unknown truth about teen pregnancy.

Having a child, if the school still has many high barriers for parents. First, 70% of teen parents stay togetherwhich puts the child in a broken family. Then there's the fact that more than half of new teen mothers do not even old enough to apply for Medicaid or work a full time job. teenage mothers are often forced to leave school and 87% have never finished high school or college. It can become impossible for a decent job without pay for education and the cost of caring for a child of 18 years is that most teens know to find to find a child.

The majority of teenage pregnanciesare not planned, but the reason there is an amazing pregnancy rate is disconcerting for all. High schools today teach sex education since the fifth grade. Condoms are provided free of charge by local hospitals and pregnancy planning centers. These facilities will also provide low-cost or free contraceptives for teenage girls starting at age 14. With many free options, because adolescents are still unplanned pregnancies in an amazing speed? The truth is that education is lackingon the domestic front. Parents rely on schools to teach their children and the result is that many do not listen. It is for parents to talk to their children about sex and their contraceptive options.

If you find yourself with an unplanned pregnancy, there are many options to consider. Some families will be happy to support their children when the case of a pregnancy, but it's still in his teens the responsibility of taking care of their child. Failure to do so may result in loss of custody to state. The guidelines are based on a number of each state, but the end result is always the same. Adoption is a second option to the first parenthood. There is a long process including a psychological examination for a young couple can give their child up for adoption. There are two types of adoption, open and closed. open adoption, the biological parents to take pictures and letters from the adoptive parents received approval eliminates any contact when closed. Finally, children and young people choose> Abortion until the second quarter. This process is painful and expensive, but perhaps the best option in some circumstances. A clinic nurse can discuss various options for parents in adolescence and it is recommended that they speak with a counselor before taking any final decision on their future child.

For Danmill23 ... Children should be killed

Reply au.youtube.com Danmill23 Q. Why did you leave the abortion business? A. Two things came into play at the same time. I experienced a profound religious transformation - a conversion. At about the time I had second thoughts, a Dallas television station made a statement disclosure of abortions performed at my clinic in non-pregnant women - all for money! Eventually I realized, "We were not helping women - we were destroying them and their children -." At that time my transformationwas complete and I knew I had to stop not only involved in abortions, but I had to help promote the truth. Former Abortion Speak Out Below www.prolife.com are revealing statements by former abortion industry personnel. These are direct quotes from men and women who worked in abortion facilities. These former abortion providers are now pro-life. They regret their involvement with abortion, so that now they want to speak to warn people about what happened before, during and after the abortion. Their statements were made during a meeting of videos called, "Meet the Abortion Providers". 1) Former abortionist, Anthony Levatino, MD, says: "I want the public to know that the doctors know this person, this is a child that this is not some kind of blob of tissue ...". 2) Former abortion counselor, Nita Whitten, says: "It's a lie when they say they are doing to help women, why not do it for the money.." 3) Ex...

Bush limits access to contraception

Now I have your attention, let me start by saying that restricting access to contraception is exactly what the new federal policy proposed by the Bush administration does not. By the definition of emergency contraception and IUDs as abortion, what the board wants you to my grandmother and challenges you to think they are doing is limiting access to abortion. Please explain to your grandmother who are not doen something. It is nothing more than a politicaltrick to the right, Christian conservative base to revive. That this new policy in fact is not to limit federal funding for hospitals that refuse to hire people with services that refuse to offer abortion. Sound confusing? In other words, this means that when a hospital receives any federal funds can not discriminate against providers who refuse to offer abortion services before (abortion is defined as shown). Butare already federal laws prohibiting discrimination in this place! The only additional requirement is that this new rule requires aan van KRACHT these hospitals (if they houden financiering Willen TE) to declare in writing their compliance with federal laws that are already in place. It 'a proposal that has been carefully designed to do nothing!

The impact has been in the fashion of a farce of Shakespeare. Rather than ignore this proposal nonregulation Democrats have seized onas an opportunity to lash back - call it "... a dangerous assault on women's health."

Nobody is in favor of providing contraceptives and family planning services to me. But please, try to ensure that the battles we fight are significant. A federal ban on partial-birth abortion, for example, could potentially lead to a severe limitation of medical options for women to manage the complications during the second quarter of itspregnancy. The proposal does not mess with the legality of abortion or birth control or with the existing laws in 14 states that women need access to emergency contraception. It may take one or two pharmacists reactionary losing their jobs and will certainly generate additional documents, but in the grand scheme of things, I think progressives can live.

Your Body During Pregnancy Week 21

On your pregnancy week 21, your hormones have stabilized which means that you are now most likely more emotionally stable now. Your baby bump is much more obvious and visible during this stage and I'm pretty sure you are so excited to get the prettiest maternity clothes. Gone are the days when comfort and style can't be mixed together. There are a lot of pregnant mom-friendly clothes that are stylish, comfortable and yet very inexpensive.

Your uterus is about 1/2 inch above your belly button and by now you must have gained about 10 to 15 pounds. Don't worry too much if you are a little off. As long as you are eating a very healthy diet and you take plenty of water everyday, you don't really have to pay too much attention on the scale. You may notice that your ankles and feet are swollen by the end of the day. To help relieve swollen feet, rest them up for at least 30 minutes in the evening before you doze off.

You're not too big yet and the discomforts are gone, at least for the most part. Enjoy this time and try to relax because by the time you approach the third trimester, you will encounter a new crop of uneasiness. If you notice that you are having zits on your pregnancy week 21, this is due to the increased amount of oil secretion on your face. Wash your face well with a gentle cleanser. If you want to use a topical acne product, make sure you check with your health care provider first. This symptom will eventually subside after your delivery.

You may start feeling uncomfortable when it comes to having sex with your partner on your pregnancy week 21 because of morning sickness, fatigue and tender breasts. This is perfectly normal and as you approach your second trimester, your libido will increase.

Pregnancy - Abortion And The Ways To Abort!

For the mother looking to terminate her pregnancy for one reason or another, there are a lot of decisions for her to face in the coming months. Most importantly there are any number of methods for doing the abortion; discussing each one with the doctor will help you choose the right one. The most important thing to know when considering each procedure is the timing involved. Not all procedures can be done at any stage of the pregnancy. There are also some laws that prohibit some procedures at different stages, so knowing the details of each one will help to narrow the choices.

During the first trimester, or first 12 weeks of pregnancy, there are many options available to terminate; Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA), Dilation and Curettage (D&C), and Electric Vacuum Aspiration (EVA) are all possible surgical options that can be discussed with the doctor. There is also a chemical option available where a sort of drug cocktail is mixed to induce miscarriage.

In the second trimester of pregnancy timing becomes more important; a D&C can be done during the first few weeks of the trimester, and Dilation and Evacuation (D&E) is also available. Other methods include late-term abortion techniques such as a hysterectomy, Early Induced Labor, Intact Dilation and Extraction (IDX).

When considering late-term abortions the methods dwindle both for health reasons and for legal ones. In the ground breaking case of Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court determined that each state could decide whether or not they would allow late-term abortions, as long as they made allowances for the mother's health.

Currently, 16 states have bans on late-term abortions. Oftentimes abortions done at a later stage in pregnancy are because a mother's health is at risk; however, it can be the case that a mother couldn't afford to have an abortion earlier in the pregnancy. Whichever the reason though, a mother's options decrease. Early Induced Labor and IDX are used, although currently IDX is illegal in the United States. D&E is the method commonly used for late-term abortions.

The greatest reason for controversy surrounding the abortion debate is fetal pain. Some argue that the fetus can feel pain during the first trimester, while others say pain cannot be felt until neurological receptors have developed fully in the second and third trimesters. Whatever the situation or belief, it's important to know all of the facts when making a decision of abortion; it is a decision that will last a lifetime and will never be forgotten.

Experiencing Each Baby Stage of Pregnancy

Baby Stage during Pregnancy is something you've never given a thought to until you discover that you are pregnant yourself. Once your doctor has confirmed that you are carrying a baby in your womb, it's time to turn your thoughts to each baby stage during pregnancy.

Stages of Pregnancy:

The pregnancy stages are divided into three trimesters. The first trimester marks the first three months of your pregnancy. At this stage, you will feel a loss of appetite accompanied by nausea. At times, you may feel tired beyond reason. The second trimester is the period from the fourth to the sixth month. Here your baby slowly starts forming into a human being instead of being a mere embryo. The third trimester is the third and final stage of the pregnancy when you will be bloated up beyond recognition and will also have to undergo several pregnancy discomforts in your body. With the final day advancing, you may experience lower back pain, breathlessness, swelling of feet and a lethargic feeling. With the baby kicking about, you may experience a pain or pressure at times. All these are normal enough, but never forgo a visit to your doctor for regular check ups. The doctor will perform an ultrasound & other tests and any abnormal symptoms will be taken care of at the earliest.

Labor & Delivery:

This particular baby stage of pregnancy starts as soon as the baby drops into the pelvic region of the abdomen. Sometimes you may feel a twinge of pain or contractions in the third trimester of pregnancy. These contractions may turn so intense that you may start calling up your doctor. But relax! This is known as Braxton Hicks contractions or false contractions. This is just nature's way of warning you that D-day is not far away. The delivery marks the end of the baby stage of pregnancy and your water breaks. This is when you feel a trickle of water running down & you know that you are in labor. Then the regular contractions begin and the frequency becomes smaller & smaller. Finally you have an urge to push and the baby passes through the birth canal in a head-first position. This is normal delivery. After a few minutes, you feel the contractions again and the placenta is out of your body.

You have now experienced all the baby stages of pregnancy and are holding your much coveted bundle of joy.

Pregnancy Stages - The First Trimester Of Pregnancy

When a woman conceives, she as well as her partner may be keen to find out the changes that will take place and the way in which the baby grows. During the first trimester of pregnancy, the process commences with the woman's egg being fertilized and advances to the state where the fetus begins to look a lot like the baby it soon grows to be.

The duration of the pregnancy is about forty weeks. The pregnancy period is split into segments known as trimesters, each one lasting for about thirteen weeks. In the initial stage of pregnancy, called the first trimester, an expectant women's body has to adapt suitably to the pregnancy-related changes. A major part of these changes does not take place right away.

In the initial days of the first trimester of pregnancy, the zygote or the fertilized egg passes through the fallopian tubes where it in due course of time fastens itself to the uterine wall. There, the zygote turns into an embryo and this embryo initiates the cell differentiation process to enable the individual cells to form the various parts of the human body. It is at this time that the rudiments of the head, spinal column, heart, and digestive system start to develop.

Tiny nubs, which will form the arms and the legs, too, start to grow. However, facial features, right now, are not easily apparent, although a still not fully formed eye can be noticed by the first month end. At this point, the embryo is merely one-fourth inch long.

Now, in the second month of the first trimester of pregnancy, the embryo develops into a fetus. The fetus' organs start to act and it sets in motion the production of hormones. These hormones, in conjunction with the pregnant woman's hormones, can result in morning sickness, as the woman's body is not comfortable with these changes. Usually, it is only following the development of the fetal hormones that the woman's menstrual periods discontinue. Even with all these changes happening, the fetus is still a mere inch long.

In the third month of the first trimester of pregnancy, the fetus brings to an end the elementary process of development. The morning sickness experienced by the woman would have come to an end, and she would have begun to add conspicuous weight. By now, the fetus would have grown perceptible arms and legs. Teeny weenie fingers and toes are apparent. Soon teeth would start to grow. The facial features, by now are well defined and the fetus identifiable as a living being.

Internal organs are highly developed in this period. The digestive systems and the liver will start to function. The sex determination of the fetus is confirmed, despite the fact that it might not be visible as yet on the ultrasound scan. Being four inches in length, the fetus starts to exert greater stress on the bladder. Due to this exercising of great pressure on the woman's bladder, she experiences a frequent need to pee. This is quite normal and therefore should not be an undue cause of worry to the woman.

Nancy Pelosi- Poster adolescent for attendant abortion

REP. PELOSI: I would say that as an ardent, practicing Catholic, this is an issue that I have studied for a long time. And what I know is, over the centuries, the doctors of the church have not been able to make that definition. And SenatorSt. Augustine said at three months. We dont know. The point is, is that it shouldnt have an impact on the womans right to choose. Roe v. Wade talks about very clear definitions of when the childfirst trimester, certain considerations; second trimester; not so third trimester. Theres very clear distinctions. This isnt about abortion on demand, its about a careful, careful consideration of all factors andtothat a woman has to make with her doctor and her god. And so I dont think anybody can tell you when life begins, human life begins. As I say, the Catholic Church for centuries has been discussing this, and there are those whove decided

Complications During Pregnancy

Toxemia:

Toxemia is a general term given to an acute hypertensive disorder appearing after the 20th week of pregnancy or following delivery and accompanied by increased edema protein (albumin) in urine and in severe cases convulsions and coma, especially if treatment is delayed.

Toxemia can lead to maternal and newborn infant death if it is not treated in time. Malnutrition is the main cause of toxemia which can be prevented by good parental care and good nutrition. If toxemia is found to be present in a pregnant woman, adequate quantities of proteins of high biological value should be included in her diet. Salt was previously restricted to help relieve toxemia but it is now recognized that salt is needed in pregnancy and that a normal amount should be supplied. Vitamins and minerals are the regulatory agents which are particularly needed to avoid malnutrition which precedes toxemia.

Anemia

Anemia is common during pregnancy. It can be classified as follows:

Iron Deficiency Anemia: This is the most common anemia in pregnancy and results due to insufficient iron in the diet. The requirement of iron by the pregnant women far exceeds her reserves and hence anemia may result if her diet is not enriched with iron-rich foods.
Hemorrhagic anemia: This results due to loss of blood and is more likely to occur after delivery due to loss of blood during delivery. During pregnancy however it may occur if there is an abortion or ruptured tubal pregnancy. Most patients receive blood transfusion but iron therapy in addition is indicated to support the formation of hemoglobin needed for adequate blood replacement.
Megaloblastic anemia: In this condition large, immature red blood cells containing little or no hemoglobin are formed and this malformation in red cells is the result of folic acid deficiency. Folic acid requirement is greatly increased in pregnancy and deficiency is manifested in nausea, vomiting and anorexia. As anemia progresses, loss of appetite is even more, aggravating nutritional deficiency. Most morning sickness symptoms characteristic of pregnancy could be due to deficiency of folic acid and pyridoxine.

Nausea and Vomiting

This is normally called morning sickness. This is usually a mild complaint limited to early pregnancy. It occurs more often after rising rather than in the later in the day; hence the term morning sickness. He reasons are physiological and also psychological due to the tensions and anxieties concerning pregnancy itself. Simple treatment usually improves the person's tolerance towards food. Dry biscuits eaten before rising from the bed decrease nausea. Small meals with liquids taken in between meals rather than with the meals give better results. If excessive, persistent and prolonged vomiting is seen, then the doctor may hospitalize the patient and feed her intravenously to prevent complications and dehydration.

.....................................................................................................................................................

NEURAL TUBE DEFECT

The Neural Tube:

The neural tube becomes the brain and spinal cord.

Women need to get enough folic acid before they become pregnant and during the first trimester of pregnancy so that the neural tube can develop properly.

Neural Tube Defect

NTDs are birth defects that occur when the neural tube does not form correctly. Neural tube defects usually occur during the first month of pregnancy, before many women know they are pregnant.

You must take folic acid BEFORE you become pregnant in order to reduce your risk of having a baby with an NTD.

Some factors which increase risk for NTDs are:
Race/ethnicity/geographical location: NTDs are more common among women of certain Hispanic subpopulations, and among population groups in Ireland, China, and the United Kingdom.

Use of anti-seizure medications.

Maternal insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.

Maternal obesity.

Maternal hyperthermia (i.e., exposure to high temperatures early in pregnancy, such as hot tub use or high fever).

Previous NTD-affected pregnancy.

.....................................................................................................................................................

Diabetes in pregnancy

Diabetes is a disorder in which the levels of sugar in the blood are too high. This occurs because the body doesn't produce enough insulin or can't use insulin properly. Insulin is a hormone made by the pancreas that lets the body turn blood sugar into energy or store it as fat. In untreated diabetes, high blood sugar levels can damage organs, including blood vessels, nerves, eyes and kidneys. Some people with diabetes need daily insulin injections to prevent these complications.

Gestational diabetes is one of the most common pregnancy complications. It usually develops during the second half of pregnancy, when hormones or other factors interfere with the body's ability to use its insulin. Most women with gestational diabetes have no symptoms. Blood sugar levels generally return to normal after delivery.

Women at increased risk of gestational diabetes include those who are over age 30; are obese; have a family history of diabetes; or have had a very large (over 9½ pounds) baby or a stillborn baby.

As a general rule, a pregnant woman with diabetes (gestational or preexisting) who is of average weight should consume about 2,000 to 2,200 calories a day. This should help her gain the recommended 25 to 35 pounds during pregnancy. Daily calories are usually divided among three meals and about three snacks, including one at bedtime. The dietitian will most likely recommend a diet that includes: 10 to 20 percent of calories from protein (meat, poultry, fish, legumes); about 30 percent from fats (with less than 10 percent from saturated fats); and the remainder from mainly complex carbohydrates (whole-grain bread, cereal, pasta, rice, fruits and vegetables). Sweets should be avoided.

What Abortion Methods Are Used in the First Trimester of Pregnancy?

In the first trimester of the pregnancy, a woman can choose between medical and surgical ways to terminate the pregnancy. The medical ways include injecting drugs into the system or using pills orally. As the fetus continues to grow, more surgical techniques will need to be used to terminate the pregnancy.

Medical termination is preferred over surgical abortion by most women. Two mixtures of drugs are most commonly used in this process. One is mifepristone, an antiprogestine that is available in Europe under the trade name RU-486. This is used in combination with prostaglandin misoprostol, an ulcer remedy marketed under the name of Cytotec in the US. The second option is to use methotrexate, which is also used to treat some carcinoma, arthritis and psoriasis, and also ectopic pregnancies. This is used along with misoprostol for a medical termination of pregnancy.

Suction aspiration may be made use of to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy surgically. This has to be performed between 6 and 12 weeks of conception. There are two ways this can be done- manually or by machine. Manual vacuum can take place between 3 and 6 weeks of the last period. With a handheld syringe, tissue is sucked out of the uterus. As the tissue is expelled, the organ contracts.

Machine vacuum can take place after 6 weeks of getting pregnant. This is the most widely used method of abortion used now days. Before the process starts, the cervix is dilated and a hollow tube called the cannula is inserted into the cervical canal.

When it comes to performing a successful (and healthy) abortion, the early in the pregnancy you can get it done the better. If you get to your physician early enough, you may only have to take a few pills or injections to terminate the fetus. Once you get past the first trimester, things become more difficult and risky for the mother.

Pro Choice, Abortion, and The Unborn Child

Pro Choice Abortion - What About the Unborn Child? Randall Niles reviews a recent case like Nadal Hasan and his terrorist attack at Fort Hood in light of the legal and logical disconnect between criminal and Constitutional law. Did Nadal Hasan kill 13 people or 14 people, since one of his victims was pregnant? Pro-choice abortion is the belief that women have the right to choose to abort a baby from their body. The "pro-choice" view is that a baby does not have human rights within the mother's womb. The people of the United States never voted on or supported this pro-choice position. Actually, it was the US Supreme Court that "legalized" abortion as a result of Roe vs. Wade on January 22, 1973. Pro-choice Abortion - The Procedural Choices (no gory details) Pro-choice abortion allows women to choose how to abort an unwanted child. Typically, the abortion method is determined by the age of the fetus. During the first trimester of growth, a woman may elect to use the "morning after pill" (RU-486) or have a Suction Abortion. At the end of the third month, the abortion is usually performed by Dilation and Curettage (D&C) or, after thirteen weeks, a Dilation and Extraction (D&E). After sixteen weeks of fetal growth, a woman can choose to experience a Partial Birth Abortion or have Saline Amniocentesis. Regardless of the moral and religious implications, every woman should investigate how each procedure is done, what side effects are normal or abnormal, and what complications ...

The baby should weigh about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches long. Yes you can say that it's about the size of a large heirloom tomato. After delivery, he or she will start passing meconium in the first few days of life. On April 18,2007 the US Supreme Court voted 5-4 to uphold the federal abortion ban passed by Congress and signed by President Bush in 2003. The ban criminalizes abortions in the second trimester of pregnancy that doctors say are safe and often the best to protect women's health. For the first time, the high court ruled that politicians will now be making medical decisions instead of women and doctors.

Termination Of Pregnancy - a Few Facts About Induced Abortions

Termination of pregnancy may occur naturally or may be induced. Induced abortion is a sensitive topic with people reacting in different ways. There are those who are for it and those who consider it a sin, ultimately, it is the expectant mother's choice to continue the pregnancy or to opt for a termination of pregnancy. Women may choose to opt for an induced abortion due to various factors. They may opt for it as getting pregnant at that point of time may not be a feasible option.

Women may opt for termination of pregnancy if they have put the health of the baby at risk due to bad lifestyles or due to unplanned pregnancies. Some expectant mothers opt for an induced abortion as they are unsure who the father is, some may be rape victims, some may not be ready to be single mothers, and some resort to termination of pregnancy due to poor health condition that puts their life at risk if the pregnancy continues.

Some women also opt for termination of pregnancy as their unborn child could have genetic defects, may be malformed or may have chromosomal disorders. It is not an easy decision for any woman to consider abortion. But not all women are lucky to have a healthy pregnancy by adopting pregnancy planning measures. Women who consider induced abortion need to think over some things carefully before they take their decision. It is absolutely essential that a woman who opts for an induced abortion has support and help from people she trusts in and from those who care for her.

Induced Abortions

Women may opt for an induced abortion during the first trimester and some during the second trimester, however it is only during extremely critical situations that abortions are induced in the third trimester. Abortions are much safer the earlier they are done. Women who consider termination of pregnancy usually are given drugs that can induce an abortion within a week. In some cases surgical abortion may have to be performed.

Medical/Surgical Abortion

The women are given injections or pills (methotrexate or mifepristone) and given a pill misoprostol to be taken a couple of days after the pill or injection has been given. The first dose of pills or injections terminates the pregnancy and the second dose induced uterine contractions to empty the products of conception. Within a period of 7 days the termination of pregnancy has occurred. In the event that the drugs fail to induce an abortion it is imperative to get a surgical abortion as these drugs can cause serious birth defects. In the surgical procedure, the cervix is dilated and the contents of the uterus are cleaned using methods such as cutterage/MVA.

It is imperative that a competent and experienced physician performs the procedure and that proper follow up care is administered. Both kinds of induced abortions have certain risks. Medical abortions may induce bleeding, cramps, nausea, diarrhea, and with surgical abortions the risks to watch out for are infections and excessive bleeding. Carefully think over and comprehend the risks before you consider termination of pregnancy.
