Experiencing Each Baby Stage of Pregnancy

Baby Stage during Pregnancy is something you've never given a thought to until you discover that you are pregnant yourself. Once your doctor has confirmed that you are carrying a baby in your womb, it's time to turn your thoughts to each baby stage during pregnancy.

Stages of Pregnancy:

The pregnancy stages are divided into three trimesters. The first trimester marks the first three months of your pregnancy. At this stage, you will feel a loss of appetite accompanied by nausea. At times, you may feel tired beyond reason. The second trimester is the period from the fourth to the sixth month. Here your baby slowly starts forming into a human being instead of being a mere embryo. The third trimester is the third and final stage of the pregnancy when you will be bloated up beyond recognition and will also have to undergo several pregnancy discomforts in your body. With the final day advancing, you may experience lower back pain, breathlessness, swelling of feet and a lethargic feeling. With the baby kicking about, you may experience a pain or pressure at times. All these are normal enough, but never forgo a visit to your doctor for regular check ups. The doctor will perform an ultrasound & other tests and any abnormal symptoms will be taken care of at the earliest.

Labor & Delivery:

This particular baby stage of pregnancy starts as soon as the baby drops into the pelvic region of the abdomen. Sometimes you may feel a twinge of pain or contractions in the third trimester of pregnancy. These contractions may turn so intense that you may start calling up your doctor. But relax! This is known as Braxton Hicks contractions or false contractions. This is just nature's way of warning you that D-day is not far away. The delivery marks the end of the baby stage of pregnancy and your water breaks. This is when you feel a trickle of water running down & you know that you are in labor. Then the regular contractions begin and the frequency becomes smaller & smaller. Finally you have an urge to push and the baby passes through the birth canal in a head-first position. This is normal delivery. After a few minutes, you feel the contractions again and the placenta is out of your body.

You have now experienced all the baby stages of pregnancy and are holding your much coveted bundle of joy.
